Bespoke Exhibition Stands for The Munich Show 2026

The Munich Show, also known as Mineralientage München, is the world's largest trade fair for minerals, fossils, gemstones, and jewellery, held every October at Messe München. Over 1,100 exhibitors take part across four days, the first two reserved for trade visitors, the last two open to collectors and the general public. EventFull designs and builds bespoke exhibition stands for businesses exhibiting at the show.

Two Very Different Kinds of Visitor

The trade-only days and the public days at The Munich Show bring quite different crowds. Trade visitors, dealers, jewellers, museum buyers, tend to want detailed information and are comfortable discussing serious purchases. Once the show opens to the public, you'll see far more enthusiasts and collectors who are there to browse, ask questions, and enjoy the spectacle of it all. A stand that can shift tone slightly between the two, staying professional for trade buyers while feeling a bit more welcoming and approachable once the public arrives, tends to get more out of both halves of the show.

Rough Stone and Polished Jewellery Need Different Lighting

The show covers everything from raw, unpolished mineral specimens to finished, cut gemstones and jewellery, and these need quite different treatment to look their best. Rough specimens often benefit from natural, even lighting that shows texture and colour honestly. Cut gemstones and jewellery, on the other hand, come alive under more directional lighting that catches sparkle and reflection. If your stand covers both ends of that range, it's worth thinking about lighting zone by zone rather than applying one setup across the whole space.
